The Master Paper is a theoretically practical research which consists of 3 theoretical chapters and 1 research chapter.
The aim of the research is to explore the women teachers’ influence on the formation of discriminative attitude towards women in boys.
The theoretical part is based on the cognitions and ideas of Brokāne L. (2007), Skelton C. and Francis B. (2006), Sorokin P. A. (1992), Giddens A. (1997), Serbin (1993), Bicklen S. K. and Smulyan L. (2000), Bordens K. S. and Horowitz I. A. (2000) and Omārova S. (1996).
The following research methods were used: the analysis of literature, survey and interview. The gathered data were qualitative and quantitative, which were analyzed, interpreted and the following conclusions were made: the existing gender stereotypes in the cognition of women teachers and boys influence their behaviour in the classroom and their attitude towards the opposite sex; students (boys) see teachers as women and, therefore, the stereotypical, even discriminative actions, promote the formation of negative attitude towards women.
