Abstract

Šī kvalifikācijas darba “IBM PC un Mac datoru savietojamība” izvirzītie mērķi ir iepazīstināt lasītājus par: kā IBM PC un Mac datoru standarti bija vienīgie, kas izdzīvoja līdz šodienai; starptautiskajiem protokolu standartiem, kas nodrošina dažādu piegādātāju iekārtu (tīklu komponentu) sadarbību; savietojamības iespēju risinājumiem. Pieaugošā Mac popularitāte datoru lietotāju vidū, rosina man vēlmi izpētīt IBM PC un Mac datoru sazināšanās iespējas. Teorētiskajā daļā tika savākta, izlasīta un analizēta literatūra par vēsturē galvenajiem datoru ražotājiem ,un IBM PC un Mac datoru tīklu veidu un savienojumu uzbūvi. Praktiskajā daļā aplūkoju IBM PC un Mac savietojamības iespējas izmantojot Apple AirPort un FireWire.

Objectives of this qualification work “IBM PC and Mac computer compatibility” are to familiarize readers about: how the IBM PC and Mac computer standards were the only ones who survived to the present; international protocol standards, which provide collaboration of different suppliers of equipment (network component); compatibility option solutions. The growing popularity of Mac computer users encouraged me to explore the IBM PC and Mac computer communication capabilities. Theoretical part literature was collected, read and analyzed about the history of the major computer manufacturers, and IBM PC and Mac computer network connection type and structure. In the practical part I examined IBM PC and Mac compatibility options using Apple Airport and FireWire.
