| dc.description.abstract | Pētījuma „Sociālā atbalsta, afiliācijas un antropomorfisma saistība” mērķis bija noskaidrot, kā uztvertais sociālais atbalsts ir saistīts ar afiliācijas tendenci un antropomorfismu, kā afiliācijas tendence ir saistīta ar antropomorfismu, kā arī noskaidrot, vai pastāv atšķirības afiliācijas tendencē un antropomorfismā starp indivīdiem ar augstu un indivīdiem ar zemu uztvertā sociālā atbalsta līmeni.
Pētījumā piedalījās 142 Latvijas iedzīvotāji – 80 sievietes un 62 vīrieši, kuri ir suņa/suņu īpašnieki, vecumā no 25-60 gadiem. Pirmajā pētījuma posmā tika veidota viena grupa, atbilstoši pētījuma korelatīvi aprakstošajam dizainam. Pētījuma otrajā posmā tika atlasīti 60 respondenti, kuri veidoja divas grupas, ko paredz aprakstošā pētījuma dizains (reālo grupu shēma). Pirmo grupu pārstāvēja 30 respondenti ar zemāko uztverto sociālo atbalsta līmeni, un otro grupu – 30 respondenti ar augstāko uztverto sociālā atbalsta līmeni.
Respondentiem tika piedāvātas sekojošas aptaujas - Daudzdimensionālā sajustā sociālā atbalsta skala (Multidimentional Scale of Perceived Social Support - Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet & Farley, 1988, Latvijā adaptējusi S.Voitkāne, 2001), Afiliatīvās tendences skala (MAFF, Affiliative Tendency Scale; Mehrabian, 1994), kas tika tulkota un sākotnēji adaptēta, Antropomorfisma skala (Anthropomorphism Scale Interview - Albert & Bulcroft, 1988, Latvijā adaptējusi A.Poga, 2009) un Demogrāfisko datu aptauja.
Atbildot uz pētījuma jautājumiem, var teikt, ka šī pētījuma rezultāti atklāj saistību starp augstu uztvertā sociālā atbalsta līmeni un zemu afiliācijas tendences līmeni, zemu uztvertā sociālā atbalsta līmeni un augstu afiliācijas tendences līmeni, augstu uztvertā sociālā atbalsta līmeni un zemu antropomorfisma līmeni, zemu uztvertā sociālā atbalsta līmeni un augstu antropomorfisma līmeni, augstu afiliācijas tendences līmeni un augstu antropomorfisma līmeni, zemu afiliācijas tendences līmeni un zemu antropomorfisma līmeni. Tika atklāts, ka pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības afiliācijas tendencē un antropomorfismā starp indivīdiem ar augstu un indivīdiem ar zemu uztvertā sociālā atbalsta līmeni, tāpēc tika secināts, ka afiliācijas tendence un antropomorfisms ir saistīts ar uztverto sociālo atbalstu.
Līdz ar to var secināt, ka pētījuma mērķis tika sasniegts. Šajā pētījumā gūtie rezultāti var kalpot par pamatu citu darbu izstrādei, kā arī izvirzītie jautājumi varētu būt pārbaudāmi citu pētījumu ietvaros, ar lielākām izlasēm, citām dzimuma, vecuma un sociālām grupām.

| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the study „Correlation between social support, affiliation and anthropomorphism” was to find out how perceived social support is associated with affiliation tendency and anthropomorphism, how affiliation tendency is associated with anthropomorphism as well as to ascertain whether there is a difference in affiliation tendency and anthropomorphism among individuals with high level of perceived social support and individuals with low level of perceived social support.
The participants of the study were 142 Latvian inhabitants – 80 women and 62 men – dog owners, in age of 25 to 60. In the first stage of the study all participants formed one singe group according to correlatively descriptive design of the study. In the second stage of the study 60 participants were picked out who formed two groups provided by design of descriptive study (realistic groups scheme). First group was represented by 30 respondents with the lowest level of perceived social support and the second group was represented by 30 respondents with the highest level of perceived social support.
The respondents were offered following surveys: Multidimentional Scale of Perceived Social Support (Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet & Farley, 1988, adapted in Latvia by S.Voitkāne, 2001), Affiliative Tendency Scale (Mehrabian, 1994), which was translated and initially adapted by the author, Anthropomorphism Scale Interview (Albert & Bulcroft, 1988, adapted in Latvia by A.Poga, 2009) and Demographic Scale.
In response to questions of the study, it is possible to say that high level of perceived social support is associated with low level of affiliation tendency and low level of perceived social support is associated with high level of affiliation tendency. High level of perceived social support is associated with low level of anthropomorphism and low level of perceived social support is associated with high level of anthropomorphism. High level of affiliation is associated with high level of anthropomorphism and low level of affiliation is associated with low level of anthropomorphism. In this research it was found that there is a statistically significant difference in affiliation tendency and anthropomorphism between individuals with high level of perceived social support and individuals with low level of perceived social support.
Consequently it is possible to conclude that the aims of the present study were achieved. The results of the study may be used as basis for future studies and the hypothesis of this study could be verified within the framework of other studies and in reference to more representative samples and other sex, age and social groups.
