The aim of the Bachelor Paper was to clarify, whether there are substantial gender diferences in jealousy and relationship stability among married couples, as well as to clarify, whether jealousy indicates with relationship stability indicates among married couples in respective age group do correlate. Ņemirova – Vilcāne (2003); The Investment Model Scale, Rusbult, C.E., Martz, J.M., & Agnew C.R., 1998, in Latvia this inventory was adapted by M. Mikuļska (2011); there was summarized also information of overall data - age, gender, level of education and length of marriage.
On the base of results, obtained from performed research, it can be affirmed that there
are no statistically significant differences in relationship stability indices in different gender groups – both gender equally are satisfying or not with their relationships. However, there are gender differences in jealousy indices – men cognitive jealousy felt frequently than womens. In both gender groups were revealed correlations between the cognitive jealousy and satisfaction with relationships. In both gender groups the higher were cognitive jealousy indices, the lower was the satisfaction with relationships.
Obtained results show that jealousy are related with the specifical relationship stability indicate.
