Maģistra darba „Mentoru darba pamatprincipi vienotas mentoringa sistēmas izveidei Latvijas skolās” mērķis ir noskaidrot, uz kādiem pamatprincipiem būtu jābalstās vienotai mentoringa sistēmai izglītībā Latvijā. Darba teorētiskajā pētījumā tiek apskatīts, kā dažādi autori definē mentoru un mentoringu un, kāda ir mentora loma un uzdevumi. Darbā ir apkopoti dažādu autoru viedokļi par skolotāju profesionālās attīstības pakāpēm vispār, kā arī tiek raksturotas skolotāju profesionālās attīstības iespējas Latvijā. Tika anketēti 97 mentori. Anketēšanas rezultātā tika noskaidrots, ka, izņemot vienotu mentoru apmācību, Latvijā vienota mentoringa sistēma nedarbojas tāpēc, skaidri jānodefinē prasības augstskolu studentu praksei, jānodibina atbalsta centrs, kur saņemt profesionālu palīdzību, kā arī jāizveido mentoru darba kontroles mehānisms. The aim of the Master`s Paper “Basic Principles of Mentors’ Work in the Development of Mentoring System in the Schools of Latvia” is to find out the basic principles that the mentoring system in Latvia has to be based on. In the theoretical part of the Paper definitions of mentor and mentoring by different authors have been given and mentors’ role has been discussed. Different authors’ views about the stages of teachers’ professional development are summarised. The possibilities of teachers’ professional development in Latvia have been described. 97 mentors were questioned. It was found out, that mentoring system does not work so, the institutions of higher education have to define demands for the students’ practice, support centre has to be established and mechanism of the control of mentors’ work has to be worked out.
