Anotation In this bachelor work ««Māmiņu algu» in theme framing newspaper «Čas», «Neatkarīgā Rīta avīze», «Telegraf» un «Diena» of a year 2005 is examined and compared, how russian and latvian paper mass- media are offering an important information about an actual theme - new rules of the payment of baby-care, to their readers. In said work is explored what is family, its role and value on today. The role of mother and father in modern society is explored also. As a research engine the theory of framing and typology by Katy Shver is used. Principles of this theory are brought out as well. As a result of the research two hypotheses were confirmed . 1)Latvian and Russian mass-media vary in theme’s representation to their readers. 2) Theme, estimated as mostly female, in one of the newspapers is used though, as a political theme.en_US
