The theme of this paper is „Pre-election agitation influence to results of 10. and 11. Saeima elections”.
The research question of this paper is: How does the pre-election agitation affect the results of election? The research question results in the objective of this paper – Research if the pre-election agitation influenced the representation of parties in 10th and 11th Saeima.
It was concluded that one of three raised hypothesis was confirmed, the count of commercials on the radio before 10th and 11th election of Saeima influenced the number of votes that parties received. Whereas two of the hypothesis raised in this paper were not confirmed. In 10th and 11th election of Saeima the number of votes the parties received wasn’t dependent on the number of television commercials or the money spent during pre-election time.
It was concluded using the quantitative research approach and the analysis of correlation, setting the connection between two indicators.
