Rasisms un etniskā neiecietība Latvijā Eiropas Brīvprātīgā darba jauniešu skatījumā

Abstract

Līdz ar globalizācijas un migrācijas palielināšanos etniskās attiecības Latvijā ietver ne tikai Latvijas pamatiedzīvotājus, bet aktuāls kļūst jautājums par citu tautību pieņemšanu un integrāciju. Darba mērķis ir pētīt ārzemju jauniešu iekļaušanos vietējā sabiedrībā, skatījumu uz sabiedrības attieksmi pret viņiem, kā arī ar viņu pieredzes palīdzību atklāt starpetniskās attiecības Latvijas sabiedrībā. Pētījumā izmantots kvalitatīvo un vizuālo metožu apvienojums. Rezultāti atklāj to, ka ārzemnieku iekļaušanās vietējā sabiedrībā kavē vietējo distancēšanās, kā arī vērojamas etnocentrisma, neiecietības un uz stereotipiem un aizspriedumiem balstītas attieksmes un darbības. Tiek atklāta arī latviešu un krievvalodīgo attiecību spriedze. Secinājumi norāda uz iespējamām jauno imigrantu integrēšanās problēmām nākotnē un pauž satraukumu par daudzveidības pieņemšanu Latvijas sabiedrībā.

With the impact of the globalization and the migration the ethnical relationships in Latvia is no longer limited on Latvian permanent inhabitants. The issue of the acceptance and the integration of the other nationalities are current. The aim of the thesis is to study the inclusion of the foreign youngsters into the local society, to explore their view on the attitude of the local society towards them, and to reveal the ethnical relations within the Latvian society. The combination of the qualitative and the visual methods are used in the research. The results show that the obstacles of the inclusion of the foreigners into the local society are the disassociation as well as the attitudes and actions based on the ethnocentrism, intolerance, stereotypes and prejudices. The conclusions draw attention to the possible integration problems of the new immigrants and the acceptance of the diversity.
