Akadēmiska bibliotēka kā lietotājorientēta vieta

Abstract

Akadēmiska bibliotēka šodien ir gan fiziska telpa, gan virtuāls pakalpojums. Mūsdienu mācību tendences rada pastiprinātu vajadzību pēc fiziskas vietas, kur kopīgi mācīties. Attīstīta, moderna un lietotājorientēta bibliotēkas telpa var kļūt par pirmo izvēli šādam mērķim. Pētījuma "Akadēmiska bibliotēka kā lietotājorientēta vieta" mērķis ir noskaidrot saistību starp lietotājorientētu bibliotēkas iekārtojumu un tās apmeklējumu, kā arī izvērtēt un salīdzināt Latvijas un Glāzgovas bibliotēkas pēc lietotājorientēta bibliotēkas dizaina principiem. Izmantotas daļēji strukturētas intervijas bibliotēku lietotāju viedokļu noskaidrošanai, ko papildina intervija ar nozares speciālisti. Pētījuma rezultāti norāda uz saistību starp bibliotēkas iekārtojuma pielāgošanu lietotājiem un bibliotēkas apmeklēšanu. Rezultātu interpretēšanai izmantoti jēdzieni bibliotēka 2.0, akadēmiska bibliotēka 2.0, sociālais konstruktīvisms un bibliotēka-kā-vieta.

Academic library today is both physical spaces and virtual services. People now need more physical space to learn in collaboration because of the changes in learning methods. Renovated, modern and user-centered library spaces can be the first choice for this purpose. The purpose of this research is to make out the connection between user-centered library design and its visiting numbers, evaluate and compare examples from Latvia and Glasgow according to rules of user-centered library design. Semi-structured interviews with library visitors are used to achieve this purpose. In addition, an interview with a professional in the field is made. The results of the research show that there is a connection between adjusting library design to user needs and visiting numbers. The concepts library 2.0, academic library 2.0, social constructivism and library-as-place are used to interpret results.
