In this work, it was determined whether degradation of active pharmaceutical ingredients – milnacipran hydrohloride, tianeptine acid sodium salt and flecainide had occured when exposed to different conditions; the effect of ring current magnetic anisotropy on the chemical shift of API due to hydrophopbic aggregation have been studied. The 1H NMR spectra were obtained. Assessment and conclusions were based on these spectra. The study shows that it is possible to degrade milnacipran by boiling it in certain ketones; degradation of tianeptine occurs when it has been heated in air, but it is not possible to cause the degradation of tianeptine heating it in 1, 4 - dioxane and degradation of flecainide F1 form when it has been heated in air; the hydrophobic surfaces of minacipran and tianeptine exhibit a hydrophobic effect and form aggregates.
