The paper includes evaluation of the composition of the macroelements of the forest soils and composition of the micro- and macroelements of the spruce needles and spruce annual rings within a damaged spruce stand, where fertilization test fields were done, using fertilisers containing potassium (ashes and K2SO4). Soil samples were taken from 9 test areas at certain depths (O horizon, 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm, 20-40 cm and 40-80 cm, 45 samples in total). Soil samples were tested for soil acidity (pHH2O and pHCaCl2), content of total N, content of organic C, content of extractable Ca and K in the 0,1 M and 1 M nitric acid and content of extractable K in the aqua regia. Needle samples were taken from 9 test trees divided according to age (1-4 year old needles), washed in chloroform, mineralized in closed microwave system and the content of K, Ca, Mg, Mn, P, Rb, Ni, Pb, Ba and Zn in the needles were analysed by different analytical methods. In order to assess the chemical composition of the tree rings, drillings were made in 9 test trees with Pressler borer, drill samples taken and divided according years. The content of K, Ca, Mg and Mn was determined in the tree rings. The obtained results were assessed.
