The aim of this Bachelor Paper is to determine how the identity of the soviet city-resident was represented in the daily paper “Rīgas Balss” between 1957 and 1958.

In order to conduct the research, the author uses quantitative content analysis to select and examine publications, as well as performs historic discourse analysis.
