Bakalaura darbā “Portālu – “calis.lv”, “mammam.lv”, “maminuklubs.lv” auditorijas lietošanas motīvi” pētīta lietotāju motivācija attiecībā uz trim Latvijas tematiskiem vecāku portāliem.
Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām – teorētiskās, metodoloģiskās un pētnieciskās. Teorētiskā daļā apskatīts portālu koncepts, auditorijas raksturojums, mediju lietošanas un apmierinājuma teorija, sociāli kognitīvā teorija.
Izmantojot kontentanalīzi, veikta tematisko portālu vispārīgā un piedāvāto tematisko rubriku – salīdzinošā analīze. Lai noskaidrotu auditorijas lietošanas motīvus, tika izmantota kvantitatīvā pētniecības metode – anketēšana. Ar daļēji strukturētās intervijas metodi, noskaidrota lietotāju motivācija.
Darba noslēgumā tiek secināts, kādi ir portālu “calis.lv”, “mammam.lv”, “maminuklubs.lv” galvenie auditorijas lietošanas motīvi, kā arī lietošanas motīvu skaidrojums no sociāli kognitīvās teorijas aspekta.

The Bachelor’s thesis consists of three parts – theoretical, methodological and analytical part. In theoretical part portal concept, user’s description, media use and gratification theory, social cognitive theory are analyzed.
Content analysis and comparative analysis of thematic portals in general and the proposed thematic section was performed. To find the reasons for usage, was used a quantitative research method - survey. With the help of semi-structured interview method was clarified the motivation of users.
At the end of the work were found the main users usage motives for the portals "calis.lv", "mammam.lv", "maminuklubs.lv", as well as the explanation of usage on the grounds of social cognitive theory perspective.
