Darba ietvaros analizēti 10 Latvijas populārās mūzikas Twitter kontu ieraksti, laika posmā no 2011. gada 1. decembra - 2012. gada 31. janvārim, un 5 interviju transkripcijas ar Twitter kontu uzturētājiem. Darbs sastāv no teorētiskās daļas, kas apraksta Gruniga un Hanta SA modeļus, to pielietojumu interneta vidē, tiek apskatīta sociālo mediju būtība un to pielietojums mūzikas industrijā. Metodoloģijas nodaļa apskata kvalitatīvo kontentanalīzi, strukturētās, daļēji strukturētās intervijas un pētnieka triangulācijas metode. Darba noslēdzošā empīriskā daļā tiek analizēti pētījuma rezultātā iegūtie dati, kuru validitātes noteikšanai pielieto pētnieku triangulācijas metodi.
Daļēji tiek apstiprināta autora izvirzītā hipotēze, ka Latvijas populārās mūzikas Twitter kontu uzturētājiem ir izstrādāta koncepcija Twitter pielietojumam kā SA instrumentam mūziķa karjeras veiksmīgai pilnveidošanai.
