The aim of bachelor’s paper ‘Common and Different Features of Audience and Journalism Conception of Magazines ‘Marta’ and ‘Ieva’’ is – with the help of content analysis, audience, and structured interviews with representatives of editorial board to ascertain common and different features in the content, audience and conceptions of both magazines. First hypothesis is based on fact that women’s magazines in the case of competition become very similar, but each magazine addresses different reader: ‘Ieva’ addresses housewife, modern woman, sex partner, mother, citizen, benefactor, while ‘Marta’ addresses modern woman, sex partner and mother. Second hypothesis stated that both magazines ‘Ieva’ and ‘Marta’ satisfy audience’s need for self-identity. Hypothesis was proved, because data of above mentioned methods showed that readers and editors of both magazines agree that magazines addresses completely different woman, but motive why the magazines are consumed is identical – with the help of experience of other women readers try to solve/compare/consider their own problems.
