Ienākumu gaidas vidusskolēnu karjeras izvēlē

Abstract

Jau pirms vidusskolas absolvēšanas jauniešiem jāveic pirmie soļi savas karjeras plānošanā, kas attiecas gan uz studiju izvēli, gan, iespējams, arī pirmo algoto darbu. Ir būtiski saprast, kādi faktori ietekmē šo izvēli, jo jauniešu nodarbinātība ir svarīga jebkurā sabiedrībā. Autore īpašu uzmanību vēlas pievērst tam, kādu nozīmi karjeras izvēlē jaunieši piešķir ienākumiem. Pētījuma “Ienākumu gaidas vidusskolēnu karjeras izvēlē” mērķis ir izpētīt ienākumu gaidas 12. klases skolēnu karjeras izvēlē. Autore novēro, vai šīs gaidas atšķiras starp jauniešiem, kas nāk no Rīgas un citām Latvijas pilsētām. Datu iegūšanai izmantota tiešsaistes anketēšana. Pētījuma dati norāda, ka attiecībā uz karjeras izvēli un ienākumu gaidām nepastāv nozīmīgas atšķirības starp jauniešiem no dažādām pilsētām, bet izvēli biežāk ietekmē ģimenes materiālā nodrošinātība. Even before the high school graduation young people have to take the first steps in their career planning, including both the choice of studies and probably also the choice about the first paid job. It is important to understand, which factors influence those choices, as youth employment is essential for every society. The author would like to draw particular attention to the importance of career choice of young people regarding to income. The study “Income Expectations for High School Student Career Choices” aims to explore the income expectations of 12th grade students in their career choices. The author observed how those expectations differ between the young people who come from Riga and the ones who come from different towns of Latvia. Data were collected by using online survey. The survey data indicate that regarding to the career choice and expectations of the income, there is no significant difference between young people from different cities, but the choices are more often affected by family’s material support.
