Bakalaura tēma jauno mediju lietošanas paradumi jauniešu auditorijā.
Pētījuma pamatā izmantota D. Makveila (McQuail) lietojuma un apmierinājuma teorija (The Uses and Gratification Approach).
Pētījuma veikšanai izmantotā pētniecības metode – dziļā intervija – balstoties uz A.A. Bergera (A. A. Berger) teorētiskajiem un praktiskajiem ieteikumiem.
Pētījuma galvenie uzdevumi bija uzzināt jauniešu mediju lietošanas paradumus un noskaidrot motivācijas, kas vada izvēloties jaunos medijus. Noskaidrot, vai jauno mediju izmantošana, ir samazinājusi interpersonālo komunikāciju.
Pētījums atklāja, kāpēc jaunieši dod priekšroku jaunajiem medijiem nevis tradicionālajiem, kas viņus motivē tos lietot un kādas vajadzības, izmantojot apmierina.
Bakalaura darbs sastāv no trīs pamatdaļām – teorētiskā, metodoloģijas un empīriskā pētījuma daļa, un trīs pielikumi.

The primary method used to do this research was In – Depth Interviewing which was based on A. A. Berger’s theoretical and practical recommendations.
The main goal of this research was to find out how media use habits in youth auditory and motivation to use those specific medias and to find out if using the new media has reduced interpersonal communication.
The research showed why youth prefer to use new media not tradicional, what is the motivation to use new media and what kind of needs they satisfy.
The bachelor work consists of 3 parts: theoretical, methodical and empirical and 3 appendixes.
