Abstract

Pirmajā nodaļā apkopota un analizēta literatūra par atkritumu apsaimniekošanas nozari, kā arī tajā esošie darba vides riska veidi, kas var radīt negatīvu ietekmi uz nodarbināto veselību un darba kapacitāti. Otrajā nodaļā veikta akadēmiskās un zinātniskās literatūras analīze ar mērķi izprast un iegūt vispārēju priekšstatu par bioloģisko risku novērtēšanas metodēm, kā arī raksturoti galvenie bioloģisko risku novērtēšanas principi un novērtēšanas procedūra. Trešajā nodaļā analizēti iegūtie pētījuma rezultāti, kas ļauj secināt, ka galvenie bioloģiskā riska faktori atkritumu apsaimniekošanas nozarē ir saduršanās ar potenciāli inficētiem priekšmetiem, asu priekšmetu radītas traumas, inficēšanās „no rokas mutē” ar mikroorganismiem. Noslēgumā izstrādāti priekšlikumi, kas ļauj pilnveidot bioloģisko darba vides risku vadības sistēmu atkritumu apsaimniekošanas uzņēmumā, nodrošinot nodarbināto veselības labklājību. The title of the thesis is “Biological workplace risks in the waste management sector and optimization of related risk management system”. The author of the thesis: Elina Saulite. Supervisor of the thesis: Dr. Chem. Asoc. Prof. Andris Alfrēds Spricis. The thesis is set out on 91 pages including 25 illustrations, 6 tables, and 38 sources of information. The thesis consists of three parts. First part includes summary and analysis of literature on waste management sector as well as working environment risk types that can adversely influence health and work capacity of the workforce. The second part consists of academic and scientific literature analysis with an objective of understanding and gaining overall perspective on biological risk evaluation methods, and describes main biological risk evaluation principles and procedures. Results analyzed in third part allow concluding that main biological risk factors in waste management sector are stabs with infected objects, injuries caused by sharp objects and infections with microorganisms caused by “hand to mouth”. The conclusions include recommendations that allow improving biological work environment risk management system in waste management company, ensuring welfare of the workforce.
