Establishment of cooperation relations, which is usually referred to as internationalisation, reinforces growth, enhances competitiveness and supports the sustainability of the company. It is a big and complicated step for the majority of small producers. In order to help the enterprises in overcoming these difficulties, support programmes are being developed around the world. Surprisingly the performance of The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia and of its foreign representatives has never been studied before. The aim of thesis is to estimate the influence of foreign economic representative offices on Latvia's exports using econometric techniques. The results obtained are not stable and should be interpreted with caution. When the estimated coefficient is statistically significant, models predict from 61% to 218% higher exports to the countries where the representative offices are established. Similarly, it has been discovered that the effect is larger for the differentiated goods.
