Thinking consists of visual information that has to be transformed and used on a daily basis and in different problem situations. In the time, when people receive a massive amount of information, it is important that the material is understood and represented. This skill can be acquired by developing creative thinking. Imagination, which contains different ‘pictures’ (like mosaics from memories and experiences) is the basis of the process. People try to portray, represent and sort their thoughts with the help of drawing since their early childhood. Fostering drawing skills is one of the ways to develop creative thinking. Exercises for developing creative thinking in visual art lessons in Form 3 were created. The methods of data collection used were pedagogical diary and content analysis. Most known pedagogical methodologies for developing creative thinking were summarized. Exercises were carried out in practice and pupils’ work analyzed. Pupils’ works are in the attachment.
