Atslēgas vārdi: pašcieņa, tehnoference, audzināšanas stils The aim was to study practicaly and theoretically 8 to 11 year old children’s self-esteem connection with parent parenting style and technoference. Hypothesis is that there is connection with parenting style, childrens self-esteem and tehnoference. Participants of the study was 15 children (M = 9,6 years; SD = 1,12; 8 girls and 7 boys) and their parents (M = 36,8 years; SD = 5,74; 15 men and 15 women). There were used 3 instruments: Block’s Child Rearing Practices Report, The Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory, Technology Device Interference Scale. Questionnaires was filled in person or via e-mail, without any time limit. All participants came from full families (child, mother, father). Previous studies have found that for healthy child self-esteem development parental attitude and parenting style plays the most important role (Baumrind, 1991; Potter et.al. 2011; Wymbs, 2011; Dabiri S. et al., 2012; Taylor A. et al, 2012; Cone V.P., 2016; Orth U., 2017; Moudgil R. & Moudgil N., 2017). Technoference in parent – child relationship is excessive use of modern technology devices which affects parent - child relationship (The Guardian, 2017; McDaniel & Radesky JS., 2017). Hypothesis of this study is that there is connection with parenting style, childrens self-esteem and tehnoference and it confirms. Parents involved in the study uses positive parenting style the most, and a bit of psyhical an psychological control parenting style, their children showed enough high self-esteem, in parent – child relationship was little tehnoference. In the same time some parents children who showed a little lower self-esteem, used a bit more physical parenting style, thenoference was minimal in parent – child relationship; and some parents children who showed also a little lower self-esteem used a bit more psychological parenting style, and tehnoference was often in parent – child relationship. Key words: self-esteem, tehnoference, parenting style
