Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 63 lappusēm, tsk. – 7 tabulas, 9 attēli, 2 pielikumi. Izmantoti 42 informācijas avoti. The author of the Paper: Ieva Šēnberga The supervisor of the Paper: Dr. paed. Inga Stangaine The aim of the Paper is to theoretically acknowledge and practically substantiate the meaning of motion games in children’s health, development and movement acquisition. The First chapter introduces with the characteristics of the basic movements and their importance in the development of the child. Attention is drawn to the development of the personality of older preschool children by studying the regularities of the age group and the factors influencing it. The main tool for the pre-primary education is the motion game – both as an independent activity for children and as an organized activity of adults, so the first chapter describes the concept and function of the motion game, the types of motion games from the point of view of psychologists and teachers, as well as how they promote the development of children. The chapter describes the motion game as the facilitator for learning the basic movements of children. In the second chapter, a practical study on how to promote the development of the basic abilities of the elder preschool children by means of motion-based game is made. The level of children's basic movement mastery was assessed in the spring when starting the research at the preschool, and again in the autumn. In the practical part taking into consideration the conditions imposed, it was proven that the acquisition of children's basic movements in motion games will be encouraged if the teacher regularly uses the moves that strengthen the children's large muscle groups; also if the motion games are used during the walk, and if children are interested in playing the games. The Paper consists of 63 pages including 7 tables, 9 pictures, 2 appendices. There are 42 sources of information used. Key words: basic movements, motion games, preschool.
