The aim of the bachelor’s thesis “The role of beauty-care topics and social network “Instagram” tools in influence on self-identity and facilitation of narcissism” is to determine if social media “Instagram” blogger and influencer activities, as well as the new tools influence social media user self-identity and facilitation of narcissism based on theoretical literature and research. To reach the aim of this work, the following academic literature was explored in the theoretical part: social media and its tools, narcissism, identity and theory of needs. Quantitative content analysis of “Instagram” beauty influencers, surveys with “Instagram” users and in-depth interviews with a psychologist and an “Instagram” influencer were used in the empirical part of this bachelor’s work.
