Within the bachelor's thesis, the content of macro- and microelements of black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) in berries and flowers was analysed. Dry mineralization was used to prepare berry samples. The Fe, Mn and Zn contents were determined using a FAAS; K content with FAES; determination of other metallic and non-metallic elements by ICP-MS method. Wet mineralization with a microwave energy was used to prepare inflorescence samples. Chemical analysis was performed by the ICP-MS. The obtained results of the elements were appropriately processed, compared with various literature sources and studies, as well as their significance in living organisms was evaluated.
