The topic of the Bachelor's work is “Disinformation on the social media "TikTok": the specifics of the platform and the media literacy of young people.” The aim of the work is to explore the content of the social media “TikTok”, to find out whether young people are able to recognise the disinformation that is consumed daily by the social media “TikTok” and how capable young people are in mediumsliteracy. This work will make it clear whether young people have and what knowledge they have in matters of mediation, and whether young people in the social media “TikTok” are able to distinguish between disinformation, because more and more disinformative content appears on social media, with which people continue to share information without checking the information, while reading the inscription or writing. The theoretical part of the bachelor's work describes the social media and social media “TikTok”, mediating, disinformation, young people. Following the results of the study, it can be concluded that young people do not feel sufficiently strong and competent in recognizing disinformation on the social media “TikTok”. Also in matters of the media literacy of young people, they question their skills.
