Depozīta sistēmas izmantošana Latvijā: atziņas no sociālās aptaujas

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir “Depozīta sistēmas izmantošana Latvijā: atziņas no sociālās aptaujas”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot un izpētīt, kādi ir Latvijas iedzīvotāju depozīta sistēmas (DS) izmantošanas paradumi, attieksmes pret DS (apmierinātība ar dažādiem DS aspektiem) un iemesli tās izmantošanai. Darba teorētiskajā ietvarā DS skaidrota no vides socioloģijas perspektīvas, apskatīti tādi jēdzieni kā sociālā refleksivitāte, vērtību un darbību neatbilstība, un pielietota sociālās apmaiņas teorija. Tāpat darbā analizētas atziņas no iepriekš veiktajiem pētījumiem par DS. Pētījuma ietvaros veikta Latvijas iedzīvotāju interneta aptauja, sadarbojoties ar pētījumu centru SKDS. Darbā secināts, ka DS Latvijā vismaz reizi ir izmantojuši 94% respondentu. Visbiežāk minētais iemesls DS izmantošanai ir iespēja atgūt depozīta maksu 10 centu apmērā (79%). 18% respondentu iespēja atgūt depozīta maksu ir vienīgais iemesls DS izmantošanai. Darba gaitā apstiprinājās visas izvirzītās hipotēzes: iedzīvotāji, kuriem kopumā ir svarīga vides aizsardzība, biežāk šķiro mājsaimniecības atkritumus; iedzīvotāji, kuriem kopumā ir svarīga vides aizsardzība, biežāk ir vismaz reizi izmantojuši DS nekā tie, kuriem kopumā nav svarīga vides aizsardzība; iedzīvotāji, kuri ir kopumā apmierināti ar depozīta iepakojumu nodošanas punktu skaitu, to pieejamību un tīrību, lielākā apjomā nodod depozīta iepakojumus; iedzīvotāju, kuru apkārtējie cilvēki nodod depozīta iepakojumus, biežāk vismaz reizi ir nodevuši depozīta iepakojumus nekā tie, kuru apkārtējie cilvēki nenodod depozīta iepakojumus; iedzīvotāji, kuri šķiro mājsaimniecības atkritumus, lielākā apmērā nodod dzērienu iepakojumus DS; iedzīvotāji, kuri ir kopumā apmierināti ar DS darbību Latvijā, lielākā mērā ieteiktu DS izmantošanu citiem (NPS indekss ir augstāks).

The topic of the Master's thesis is "Use of deposit refund scheme in Latvia: insights from a social survey". The aim of the work is to find out and research the habits of using deposit refund scheme (DRS), the attitudes towards the DRS (satisfaction with various aspects of the DRS) and the reasons for using it among the inhabitants of Latvia. In the theoretical framework of the work, DRS is explained from the perspective of environmental sociology, such concepts as social reflexivity, value-action gap are examined, and the theory of social exchange is applied. Also, findings from previously conducted research on DRS are analyzed in the work. As part of the research, an internet survey of inhabitants of Latvia was conducted in cooperation with the research center SKDS. It is concluded that 94% of respondents have used the DRS in Latvia at least once. The most frequently mentioned reason for using DRS is the possibility of refunding the deposit fee of 10 cents (79%). For 18% of respondents the possibility of refunding the deposit fee is the only reason for using DRS. In the course of the work, all the proposed hypotheses were confirmed: inhabitants who generally care about environmental protection, sort household waste more often; inhabitants who generally care about environmental protection are more likely to have used DRS at least once than those who generally do not care about environmental protection; inhabitants who are generally satisfied with the number of depositing points, their accessibility and cleanliness, deposit packaging to a greater extent; inhabitants, whose surrounding people deposit packaging, more often have deposited packaging at least once than those whose surrounding people do not deposit packaging; inhabitants who sort their household waste, to a greater extent deposit packaging in DRS; inhabitants who are generally satisfied with the operation of DRS in Latvia would recommend the use of DRS to others to a greater extent (NPS index is higher).
