Ceļošana vienatnē no jauniešu perspektīvas

Abstract

Bakalaura darba virsraksts ir “Ceļošana vienatnē no jauniešu perspektīvas”. Darba mērķis bija izpētīt starptautisko ceļošanu vienatnē no jauniešu perspektīvas. Darbā tika apskatītas trīs socioloģijas teorijas – Ulriha Beka riska sabiedrība, Zigmunda Baumana plūstošā modernitāte un Georga Zimmela grupu piederība, sociālās saites. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, darba autore veica 10 daļēji strukturētās intervijas ar jauniešiem, kuri pēdējo trīs gadu laikā ir ceļojuši vai regulāri ceļo vienatnē. Intervijās iegūtā informācija analizēta, izmantojot naratīva un tematiskās analīzes pieeju. Jauniešu pieredze un priekšstati par ceļošanu vienatnē atšķiras, tomēr bieži jauniešu stāstos atklājās individualizācijas iezīmes. Jaunieši uztver riskus, kas rodas, ceļojot vienatnē, taču paši atzīst, ka nedomā par to pietiekami daudz, turklāt mēdz riskēt apzināti. Pretēji tam, kas pausts apskatītajās socioloģijas teorijās, jauniešiem joprojām ir svarīgas attiecības ar citiem cilvēkiem.

The title of the bachelor’s thesis is “Traveling alone from a youth perspective”. The aim of the thesis was to research international traveling alone from a youth perspective. Three sociological theories were reviewed – Ulrich Beck and risk society, Sigmund Bauman and liquid modernity, and Georg Simmel and group affiliation, social ties. To achieve the goal of the thesis, 10 semi-structured interviews were conducted with young people who have travelled alone in the past three years or do so regularly. Information obtained from the interviews was analysed using narrative and thematic analysis. Young people’s experiences and perceptions of traveling alone vary, yet often the stories of young people revealed traits of individualisation. Young people perceive the risks of traveling alone, but admit that they don’t think enough about risks, also risking deliberately. Contrary to what is stated in the sociology theories reviewed, young people still perceive relationships with others as important.
