Due to the increasing number of different systems, which are often using different standards, a common interface is required. Interface that enables data exchange between the two systems. In these situations data structure languages are used for data organizing, data storing and data exchange within and between different systems. In this research, there are studied four such languages: XML, JSON, YAML and CSV, has been studied its origins, usage, syntax and main features. All of these languages also compared with each other and mentioned in context with their problems and possible solutions.
