Empīriskā daļā tika veikts pedagoģiskais pētījums Olaines pirmsskolas izglītības iestādē “X”, kurā piedalījās 8 bērni. Izmantojot vērošanas un izmēģinājuma darbību, analizēta matemātisko rotaļu ietekme uz bērnu domāšanu un matemātisko prasmju attīstību. Pētījuma beigās tika izvirzīti secinājumi. The theoretical part of the work deals with the peculiarities of the children’s development at an early age; the formation of mathematical skills at the age of 1,6 – 3 years; the difficulties that can be encountered at this age whet teaching children and the role of play in the learning process were explored. In the empirical part, a pedagogical study was carried out in the Olaine pre-school educational institution “X”, in the 8 children participated. Through observation and experimental activity, the influence of mathematical play on children’s thinking and development of the mathematical skills was analyzed.
