Šis darbs ir kopsavilkums septiņu mēnešu izstrādes procesam, kura laikā tika pārstrādāta un veiksmīgi ieviesta bankas datu noliktavas sistēma, kas iepriekšējās izstrādes laikā pieļauto kļūdu dēļ, nebija darbspējīga. Darbā apskatītas problēmas, kas saistītas ar datu ieguvi no avotiem, datu apstrādi un datu ielādi produkcijas datubāzē.
Pirmajā nodaļā tiek apskatītas divas galvenās datu iegūšanas metodes – ārējās tabulas (EXTERNAL TABLES) un rīks SQL*Loader. Tās izvēlētas tāpēc, ka šīs metodes ir gan visefektīvākās, gan, nepareizi lietojot, ar tām saistās biežāk pieļautās kļūdas.Nākamajā nodaļā apskatītas problēmas un risinājumi, kas saistītas ar datu apstrādes posmu. Tiks apskatītas tādas iespējas kā BULK BINDS, EXECUTE IMMEDIATE, DBMS_SQL.Trešjā daļā tiek analizēti veiktie testi. Parādītas atķirības starp metodēm un doti dažādi padomi un ieteikumi. This graduation work is summary of seven-month development process during which there has been rewritten and successfully established data warehouse system of the bank. It was not able to run correctly because of mistakes committed during previous development. Problems connected with data extraction, data transformation and data storing into production system are discussed in the paper.
In the first chapter there are two main data extraction facilities – external tables and SQL*Loader tool analysed.These facilities are chosen because they are the most powerfull and effective methods to extract data from external source and also they are associated with most of mistakes when using them.Next charpter covers problems and solvings that are linked with data processing stage, such as BULK BINDS, EXECUTE IMMEDIATE, DBMS_SQL.Third charpter is devoted to analyse test results, shown in such a way that differences and effectiveness all of methods could be seen.
