Jauno multimediju failu formātu priekšrocības

Abstract

Daudz informācijas mūsdienās cilvēks uztver ar multimediju palīdzību. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no divām daļām – teorētiskās un praktiskās. Teorētiskajā daļā aprakstīts kas vispār ir multimedija, kā mums jāaprīko dators, lai varētu pilnībā baudīt tās iespējas. Detalizēti aprakstīti daži populāri multimediju failu formāti, to algoritmi, priekšrocības un trūkumi. Praktiskā daļā aprakstītas darbības, kuras var veikt ar multimediju failiem – failu apvienošana, konvertēšana u.c. Salīdzināti un izcelti labākie konvertēšanas veidi. Visas darbības veiktas programmas VirtualDub vidē.

Nowadays multimedia is one of the most world-spread sources of getting information. The bachelor work consists of two parts – the theoretical part and the practical one. The theoretical part contains the definition of the term “multimedia” and the ways of configuration of a personal computer hardware in order to use it’s abilities and functions successfully. Several multimedia file formats, their work algorithms, advantages and disadvantages have been described in detail. The practical part of the mentioned work contains the description of actions that could be performed with these files – joining of several files, convertion and etc. Is given a comparison of different types of codec as well as the conclusion was made. All the actions have been done in VirtualDub program.
