e-Business Suite Oracle Database starpplatformu migrācija

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir veikt un aprakstīt lielas Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle eBS) datu bāzes starp platformu migrāciju starp operētājsistēmām Tru64 un AIX lielā enerģētikas uzņēmumā. Darba mērķis ir veikt šo procesu maksimāli tuvu aprakstītajam Oracle dokumentācijā, izvairoties no pielāgojumiem un šo procesu padarīt maksimāli automātisku, un realizēt pēc iespējas īsākā laikā izmantojot visus iespējamos tehniskos resursus. Projektā ir iesaistīti 5 tehniskie speciālisti, no kuriem 3 ir Oracle speciālisti, papildus projektu koordinēja 2 projektu vadītāji un aptuveni 30 funkcionālie speciālisti un testētāji. Projekta mērķis ir to realizēt 6 nedēļās un realizēt darba vidē 2008. gada nogalē. Darbs satur manu ieguldījumu projekta realizācijā.

The purpose of this master project is to describe and make large Oracle E-Business Suite database cross-platform migration between Tru64 and AIX operation systems for huge company working in power industry in Latvia. In the centre of attention is to perform this process as good as it possible described into Oracle documentation and avoid customization. This process must be done automatically and should be done in short time using all possible technical resources. There are 5 technical specialists involved where 3 of them are Oracle DBA, approximately 30 functional specialists, testers and 2 project leaders. Project goal is to finish task into 6 week and perform go-live at the end of 2008. This paper contains my investment into project.
