Bachelor work is written in Latvian on 46 pages. It contains 29 pictures, 10 tables and there are 24 references to literature.Key words: stereovision, stereothreshold, stereoacuity, stereotest, binocular vision disorders.Aim: to find out, which stereotests – TNO, Titmus or Thomson’s would be more effective in visual screening for evaluating stereothreshold in school age children.Method: stereothreshold were assesed in photopic conditions with TNO, Titmus and Thomson’s tests. TNO and Titmus tests were used at distance of 40 cm, but Thomson’s – of 50 cm.Subjects: there were 1783 people in the age of 6 to 20 years, who were taking part in this experiment.Tasks: To compare the results and applicability of tests. Results, counclusions: TNO and Thomson’s tests are more convienient to use in vision screening for binocular disorders, because they rather show that stereothreshold is not at all than that it is low, but Titmus test will not show that there is no threshold, but will show reduced stereothreshold.
