dc.description.abstractJuris Kruūmiņš Darba nosaukums: “Ipv6 un Mobile Ipv6 protokols. Ipv4-to-Ipv6 migrācijas mehānismu teorētiskie un praktiskie aspekti”. Darba vadītājs: Prof. Guntis Bārzdiņš Darba mērķis/saturs: Galvenais darba mērķis ir dot ieskatu jaunajā internet tīkla protokolā – Ipv6 kas ar laiku nāks Ipv4 protokola vietā. Darba pirmā daļā sastāv no protokola apraskta un to darbības principu izskaidrošānas. Ir aprakstīti protokola atšķirības no Ipv4 un dots ieskats protokola iekšējās struktūrās. Sakarā mobīlo ierīču daudzveidīgumu darbā ir ietverta arī sadaļa par Ipv6 protokola paplašinājumiem, kas ir paredzēti mobīlo mezglu atbalstam. Ir dots ieskats tā'saucamajā Mobile Ipv6 protokolā un diezgan sīki aprakstīti to darbības principi. Svarīga loma šodienas tīkla pasaulē ir drošības aspektiem. Tika apskatīti Ipv6 protokola drošības aspekti un izanalizētas dažās protokola problēmas no drošības viedokļa. Ir doti arī noteikti ietekumi lai izvairītos no šim problēmām ieviešot Ipv6 protokolu.en_US

Master work leader: Prof. Guntis Barzdin Work goal : The main aid or this master work is to introduce people with cutting edge IP protocol – Ipv6 which is going to replace Ipv4 in the nearest future. The first part of the work is about Ipv6 protocol, it's internal data and packet structure. It's also cover different aspects of Ipv6 packet processing situations and lots of new protocols. Out of this part you can clealy indentify differences between Ipv4 and Ipv6 protocols. Because of different mobile devices all around it is important to support all of them in Ipv6. It's also important to support mobile device connection with his home network in order to allow users to work with their emails, documents and so on. So that's why Mobile Ipv6 is vital for future network infrastructure. The seconda describe Mobile Ipv6 protocol and allows you to understand it. Security – is one of the most important thing nowerday. That's why IP6 security aspects have been taken it to count. The third part of the work is about security, how to overcome different security problems with Ipv6 and how not to trap into different security issues deploying IPv6.en_US
