Purpose: Using manual segmentation method to data obtained by Spectral OCT, to separate the retinal layers of healthy and glaucoma eyes.
Methods: data from OCT were processed in 15 controls and 15 glaucoma participants’ and manually segmented RNFL, GCL, IPL layers, and calculated its average thicknesses and comparing between groups. Assess IPL/GCL layers ratio.
Results and conclusions: eyes with glaucoma diagnosis may occur a significant reduction in retinal thickness of the RNFL and GCL layers. IPL / GCL layers ratio decreases at early glaucoma patients, but increases at moderate and advanced glaucoma.
