Bachelor’s thesis is written in Latvian. The work contains 49 p., 24 figures, 2 tables and 19 references.
The aim of thesis. Identify how a background element affects test recognition to people with and without color deficiency.
Subjects. The study included 4 people with color vision defects and 9 without defects.
Method. Using a specially developed computer program for this work, was estimated the size of color differences. The experiment participant must press the computer keyboard button when the stimulus sights on a plate. As plates stimulus were used such symbols as triangle, square, one, four. Answers are recorded automatically.
Results and conclusions. Following graphs and the data obtained, it can be concluded that participants with color vision defects are more receptive to stimulus on the square background. As well as participants without color vision defects are more receptive to stimulus on the square background. In all cases, it is proved that the background with the circles is difficult for the perception to all experiment participants.
Keywords. Background, color vision, stimulus recognition
