Bachelor thesis is written in Latvian, consists of 30 pages, 26 images, 3 appendix and 24 literature references. Purpose: to investigate the usability of Shack- Hartmann aberrometry for retinal thickness measurements. Participants of the experiment: 10 people. The average age is 24.3 +/- 4.37 years (ranges, 20-35 years). None of the participants in the study identified eye or systemic diseases that have an effect on refraction. Method: Thickness of the retina was measured by Shack- Hartmann aberrometry. The results were compared with oculocoherent tomography. The retinal phantom thickness was also found. Conclusions: The median results of Shack- Hartmann and OCT retinal thickness are 161 μm +/- 26.7 μm in parafovial part. Key words: Shack- Hartmann aberrometry, oculocoherent tomography, retinal thickness, double point image.
