Abstract

Bakalaura darbā aprakstīta, mūsdienu, viena no populārākajām valūtām-kriptovalūta, kas pēdējo gadu laikā, ir izraisījusi lielu interesi investoru un spekulantu vidū. Darbā tiks apskatīta lielākā no kriptovalūtām Bitcoin un tās statistiskās īpašības. Tākā kriptovalūtai piemīt daudzas valūtai raksturīgās īpašības, to var uzsskatīt par finanšu instrumentu. Šajā darbā tiks izklāstīts, kā izveidot optimālu portfeli, pielietojot plašāk pazīstamās portfeļu optimizācijas metodes.

This Bachelor thesis describes the current, one of the most popular currencies, the cryptocurrency, which in recent years has caused great interest among investors and speculators. The paper will look at the largest of the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and its statistical properties. Hence cryptocurrency has many currency-specific characteristics, it can be accounted as a financial instrument. This paper will outline how to create an optimal portfolio by applying the well-known portfolio optimization techniques.
